Women's international day is a significant date in the year. In CIP Tafalla we have given a twist and we have merged it with Blackout Poetry. Have you ever heard about it?
It consists of searching hidden messages which are in already-finished texts! In our case, an article about the Spanish Women's Day marching during the outbreak of the Covid was given to students to black it out. During this engaging activity, students made every possible effort to find evocative words and then, trying to connect them by using other elements of the syntax to form sentences. Once they have their message, they decided to draw instead of blacking out the poem, which is a valid alternative of this method. It sounds challenging, doesn't it?
Here you have just four examples of students' work. What do you make of it?
